The Departmental Government and the National Police signed a bilateral agreement for road traffic control in the capital of the Departmental Archipelago, with the intention that police officers will support the Departmental Transit Officers in its task of ensuring the compliance with the legislative scheme of traffic and land transportation.

On Wednesday June 23rd, the Departmental Governor Dr. Pedro Gallardo Forbes along with Colonel Hector Enrique Paez Valderrama Commander in Chief of the National Police Department to giving beginning to the bilateral start of the inter-administrative agreement between the two local authorities.

The objective of such agreement is the cooperative effort among the National Police and the local Government of the Archipelago of San Andres, Providence, and Kethleena with the intention that police officers will support the Departmental Transit Officers in its task of ensuring the compliance with the legislative scheme of traffic and land transportation, the security of individuals and things on public, and private roads that are open to the public.
