El texto masorético hebreo contiene una porción interesante dirigida a un grupo de personas oprimidas. Estaban cansados y desanimados, y buscaban una salida a su situación. Entonces, el autor escribió lo siguiente para aligerar la carga de la gente que en ese momento estaba descorazonada y desanimada. (English version below)
«Pero cuanto más oprimían los egipcios a los israelitas, más se multiplicaban y extendían, hasta que los egipcios llegaron a temerlos. Los egipcios hacían trabajar a los israelitas sin piedad, amargándoles la vida con trabajos penosos de ladrillo y argamasa, así como con toda clase de labores del campo. Los egipcios les impusieron sin piedad todo este trabajo».
A pesar de esta triste realidad, lo hermoso de todo es que el pueblo israelí siguió creciendo. En otras palabras, no permitieron que la opresión ni el duro trabajo que les imponían los egipcios los detuviera. No permitieron que eso les impidiera multiplicarse, crecer y expandirse.
A pesar de las circunstancias opresivas, siguieron creciendo. Siguieron avanzando. Era parte del plan original de su Creador. Se les prometió que se multiplicarían y llegarían a ser numerosos. Esta promesa se la hicieron a Adán, sus hijos, Noé, Abraham, Isaac e Israel. Por lo tanto, no permitieron que nada les impidiera cumplir su misión.
Estas personas comprendieron que, por insuperables que parecieran sus retos, no permitirían que les distrajeran de su misión de multiplicación. ¡Sigan creciendo!
No es una historia de Cenicienta. No significa que al final serás recompensado por los retos que estás afrontando. No garantiza que tu camino sea tranquilo y sin esfuerzo. De hecho, esta historia te anima a vivir con un propósito y a no dejar que los retos te desvíen de tu misión. No dejes que tus experiencias te hagan refugiarte en la desesperación y adoptar una mentalidad de «pobre de mí». Vive con tu propósito en mente.
A pesar de los retos y las dificultades que puedas estar atravesando, aún puedes crecer y desarrollarte. No tienes por qué dejar que los ruidos y las circunstancias externas te impidan tener una mentalidad de crecimiento, de optimismo y de superación personal. Todavía puedes florecer.
La invitación es a seguir creciendo, desarrollando y floreciendo como pueblo. No permitas que la opresión y el mal te hagan quedarte estancado y te conviertan en víctima de tus experiencias difíciles. Sigue avanzando, sabiendo que para que una naranja produzca jugo hay que exprimirla. Considera tus desafíos desde esa perspectiva. A medida que te expriman, producirás más jugo.
Reflexión: ¿Qué te impide avanzar? ¿Es una experiencia traumática? ¿Es una situación difícil? ¿Es el miedo o la duda? ¿O es la actual crisis social, política y económica? Sea como sea, sigue creciendo, avanzando y floreciendo.

Keep Growing
The Hebrew Masoteric text contains an interesting portion addressed to a group of oppressed people. They were tired and discouraged and were looking for a way out of their situation.
The author wrote the following to lighten the burden of the people, who are currently disheartened and discouraged.
"But the more the Egyptians oppressed the Israelites, the more they multiplied and spread, until the Egyptians came to dread them. The Egyptians worked the Israelites ruthlessly, making their lives bitter with difficult labor involving brick and mortar, as well as all kinds of fieldwork. The Egyptians ruthlessly imposed all this work on them."
Despite this sad reality, the beauty of it all is that the Israelites kept growing. In other words, they did not let the oppression and hard labor imposed on them by the Egyptians stop them. They did not let that stop them from multiplying, growing, and expanding.
Even though the circumstances were oppressive, they kept growing. They kept growing. That was part of their Creator's original plan. They were promised that they would multiply and become numerous. This promise was made to Adam, his children, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. Therefore, they didn't let anything prevent them from accomplishing their mission.
These people understood that, regardless of how insurmountable their challenges might appear, they would not let them distract them from their mission of multiplication. Keep growing!
This is not a Cinderella story. It does not guarantee that you will eventually be rewarded for the challenges you are experiencing. It does not guarantee that your journey will be smooth and effortless. Furthermore, this story encourages everyone to live with purpose and not let challenges divert you from your mission. Don't let your experiences make you retreat in despair and adopt a poor-me mentality. Live with your mission in mind.
Despite the challenges and hardships you may be experiencing, you can still grow and expand. You don't have to let outside noises and circumstances make you stuck in a mindset of complaining, murmuring, crying, and playing the victim. You can still flourish.
The invitation is to keep growing, expanding, multiplying, and flourishing as a people. Don't let oppression and evil cause you to become stuck and a victim of your difficult experiences. Keep moving forward, knowing that for an orange to produce juice, it must be pressed until its juice is poured out.
Consider your challenges from that perspective. As you are being pressed, you will produce more juice.
Reflection: What is holding you back? Is it a traumatic experience? Is it a challenging situation? Is it fear or doubt? Or is it the current social, political, and economic crisis? Regardless, keep growing, keep moving, and keep flourishing.
